Job Summary:

The Agile Project Manager will be responsible for managing projects to deliver business change and benefits, employing agile/lean/SCRUM delivery methods. This includes leading a specialist team to deliver effective and rapid IT products or enhancements, managing project budget, time, quality, scope, risk, and resources to agreed tolerances, and liaising with stakeholders and suppliers to ensure adherence to governance and quality criteria.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Accountable for managing productivity and effectiveness of assigned project resources to meet objectives.
  • Providing leadership and direction to projects utilizing appropriate agile/lean/SCRUM delivery methods and subject matter expertise.
  • Managing expectations with the Product Owner and business stakeholders, ensuring critical dependencies are effectively managed.
  • Managing the output of various project suppliers, ensuring adherence to BUILD delivery processes and governance.
  • Liaising with 3rd party vendors, internal development teams, and internal testing teams to ensure project output meets quality criteria in line with governance and processes.
  • Reporting into an Agile Delivery Manager with matrix reporting into up to two of the Product Owners depending on which change initiative is being managed.

Job Requirements:

  • Relevant degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Relevant certifications such as Prince2, PMI, and SCRUM.
  • Experience working in an IT Solution Delivery environment and employing Lean, SCRUM methods in project delivery.
  • Background of working in IT landscapes, a strong grasp of IT concepts, infrastructure and technologies.
  • Proven leadership, relationship, communication and presentation skills, negotiation and influencing qualities, and commercial acumen.
  • Independent, able to use your initiative, strong organization skills.
