Job Summary:

The Medical/Healthcare Customer Service representative provides excellent service to patients and healthcare providers, resolving customer inquiries and complaints in a timely and empathetic manner. They assist in scheduling appointments, verifying insurance coverage, and coordinating referrals.

Responsibilities:

  • Respond to customer inquiries and complaints via phone, email, and in person.
  • Provide accurate information regarding healthcare services, insurance coverage, and appointment scheduling.
  • Verify patient insurance coverage and obtain authorizations as needed.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure timely and accurate coordination of referrals.
  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and escalate issues as needed.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required, Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • A minimum of 1 year of customer service experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
