Job Requirements:
- 4+ years of Java development experience in an enterprise environment
- Experience with data analytics, Java ecosystems, application servers, and database mapping tools
- Proficient with Git, Gradle, IntelliJ, and building for cloud deployments
- Excellent written and spoken English
- Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
- Prior experience working with data transformation and mapping techniques is a plus
Job Responsibilities:
- Translate feature designs into application functions and enhancements
- Design, build, and maintain efficient and reliable Java and ETL code
- Ensure code is performant, high quality, and responsive for end users
- Identify and resolve bugs and bottlenecks, and improve code quality
- Build and support the AWS cloud platform using Cloudformation
- Communicate effectively with business users to develop solutions and gauge their needs
Preferred Skills, Capabilities, and Experiences:
- 5+ years of experience mentoring others, leading small projects, and providing troubleshooting support is strongly preferred.
- Control-M and IP-switch, Toad/Oracle experience would be preferred.
- AWS Certification is preferred.
- Experience acquiring and integrating data from relational, mainframe, and flat-file sources is preferred.
- Familiarity with the Claims Processing lifecycle
